 It is important to note that the cost of living in Canada will depend on the city in which you want to settle. In general, we can say that with approximately 1,500 CAD per month (about 1,120 USD) you can cover the main expenses of your stay in the country. 

this cost is spread over : 

  • accommodation: it is usually one of the highest. It can reach between 35% to 50% of your total expenses. The average accommodation in cities like Toronto and Vancouver, considered to have a high cost of living, is between CAD 850 and CAD 1,200 (approximately USD 630 and USD 890) and other cities as Brandon en Manitoba o Halifax en Nueva Escocia, el alojamiento en promedio está entre 650 CAD y 1000 CAD (480 USD y 740 USD). But the country offers different options for improving the spend in accommodation, as you can live with a family or share with students or  other workers and divide the cost.
  • Fidding : The cost of living in Canada isn’t high, this is cheaper than accommodation. In general, the average cost of food is between CAD 300 and CAD 400, (USD 220 and USD 295) and may increase a little in cities like Vancouver or Toronto.
  • Weather : the weather in Canada is varied, it has the fourth season of the year. Most of this country has a continental climate, with contrasts between very cold winters and hot summers
